The Global Tire Trade Segment Summary is the capstone of the trade data set: it regroups the country level Export and Import Trade Flows by the five HS code categories that structure both of those pages, passenger car (PCR, HS 401110), truck and bus (TBR, HS 401120), motorcycle (HS 401140), light commercial vehicle (LCV, HS 401110/20) and OTR, agricultural and other specialty tires (HS 401170 to 90), and adds an estimated global export value in USD billions plus the leading exporting countries for each.
Export and import volumes for each segment are the same figures aggregated by country on the Export and Import Trade Flows pages: the five segments sum to 2.60 billion export units and 2.13 billion import units, matching both pages exactly. Net balance is export volume minus import volume per segment, and the key exporting countries list is drawn from the largest suppliers of that specific category rather than the country's total tire trade.
Passenger car radials remain the largest segment by both volume and value: 1,254.3 million units exported in 2024, worth an estimated $45.3 billion, with China supplying more than a third of that on its own. Truck and bus radials carry the largest net export surplus, 214.3 million units, on a $29.6 billion export value, while light commercial vehicle tires are the only segment running a net deficit: exports of 226.3 million units against 254.7 million imported, a shortfall of 28.4 million units.

The bottom row is recalculated directly from the five segments above it, since the source workbook's own total row did not reconcile with the segment level figures.
