The Country Footprint view aggregates the Global Tire Manufacturer Facility Database by nation: 284 facilities across 38 countries, rolled up into facility counts, resident manufacturers, installed capacity and the dominant tire types produced in each market. It is the geographic complement to the Company Summary Analysis, which ranks the same facilities by manufacturer rather than location.
Each entry lists the country's global region, the number of facilities in the database, every manufacturer with a resident plant, total installed capacity in thousand units per year, and the dominant tire types produced there, from Turkey's mix of passenger, truck, aviation and military tires to Sweden's agricultural and OTR specialism.
Manufacturing is heavily concentrated at the top: China, the USA and India together host 122 of the 284 facilities (43.0%) and 45.9% of installed capacity, led by China alone at 60 facilities and 673,700 thousand units per year. At the other end of the scale, 11 countries host exactly one facility each, including Sweden, Finland, Israel and Serbia, typically a single specialist manufacturer serving a regional niche.
The smallest country count of the three regions but the largest share of facilities and capacity, led by China, India, Japan and Thailand.
The widest spread by far, 22 countries from Germany's 14 facilities down to single plant markets like Sweden and Israel.
Just five countries, USA, Brazil, Mexico, Canada and Argentina, concentrate almost a fifth of global facilities.
