The Global Tire Export Trade Flows view is the supply side mirror of the Import Trade Flows page: 2024 estimated export volumes for the same 107 countries under HS code 4011, split by passenger car (HS 401110), truck and bus (HS 401120), motorcycle (HS 401140), light commercial vehicle and OTR, agricultural and other specialty tires (HS 401170 to 90). The net trade balance, exports minus imports, is identical on both pages: 18 net exporter markets and 89 net importer markets.
Each entry lists the country's region, export volume by tire category in million units, the total, PCR and TBR share of that total, and the net trade balance. LCV exports are sub allocated estimates from the passenger car HS code rather than a separately reported figure, and 2024 estimates blend with 2023 data for some countries where more recent figures were not available.
Global tire exports totalled an estimated 2.60 billion units in 2024, noticeably higher than the 2.13 billion units recorded on the import side, a gap that reflects re-exports, inventory movements and differences in reporting periods across sources rather than a true supply surplus. Exports are far more concentrated than imports: China alone shipped 918.0 million units, 35.3% of the world total, and together with the United States and Thailand accounts for 47.6% of all tracked exports. Passenger car radials remain the leading category at 1,254.3 million units (48.2% of the total), followed by truck and bus radials at 766.0 million (29.4%).
By far the world's export engine, led by China's 918.0 million units, more than four times the next largest exporter.
A diversified base of mid-size exporters, Germany, Czech Republic and France lead, though most member markets still import more than they export.
The United States is the region's largest exporter at 183.5 million units, yet remains a heavy net importer overall.
The smallest export base by far, well under 2% of world volume, consistent with the region's import dependent position on the Import Trade Flows page.
