The race to win EV OEM fitment relationships has added a new and urgent competitive dimension. EV platform tire requirements - load rating, rolling resistance, noise profile, range optimization - differ meaningfully from ICE platform requirements, and EV OEMs are qualifying new tire suppliers specifically because existing OEM fitment relationships were built on ICE performance criteria.
